You could make some paths with pacers, or get one of the molds out there and make stepping stones. Make small tiered areas to help level your way down the hill. You can always expand the tiers at a later time. Make the small tiered areas landscaped with shrubs, flowers, etc. as you can afford it. It always doesn't have to all be done at once. I have south to north tiers, so I have three very steep hills to the property we live on. The original stones that were on the second hill have deteriorated to the point that there are only three left. I have to start thinking about replacing them myself, but I haven't decided how I want to do them yet. Good luck!
