Hubby is 100 % military disable. Need help to easier for him
He uses a cane or walker. Uses grass (very steep). A great stepping stone walkway would be a blessing. I care for my 90 year old mother and she can’t visit to the numerous steps.

You can also contact your local Mormon Church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). They do lots of service projects, even for people who are not members. Their Missionaries (you know the guys in suits on bicyles) and their Eagle Scouts are always looking for ways to be of service.
Hi Karen - Please thank your husband for his service and sacrifice. Hugs, Holly #armywife
Thank you. He’s paid the price. Agent Orange exposure, back broken, bones are brittle, he’s strong but in constant pain. Vietnam was hell hole as are all wars.
To make it safe you need to cut into the slope, use the largest pavers from Home Depot, or Lowe’s. Here’s a fancy version. Hope yours isn’t too long, but he should be able to step down, onto an even area. Can you make a simple attractive, sturdy hand rail, metal pipes painted black?
Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s in California as a military brat, you are both my heros. Big hug to him for his service and to you for supporting him. Dad was a Korean/Vietnam Navy vet. As he aged, he went to the county VA officer and she had grants he could apply for to get financial assistance to make home more able bodied. She just needed his DD-214. Contact your local benefits administrator to see which grants he is eligible for, grants are not paid back. I would also contact the Scouts, Home Depot has advertised that they assist veterans. As Ms. Carol mentioned, the Mormons are always eager to help their community. We live in a very small town in a very low populated county and they come by every summer asking if I would like their help. I laugh, tell them they need to be in clothes that can get ruined and give them some water. They’re very nice young men and have never preached to me. Seè if the Baptists have a men ‘s builders missionary team, it’s becoming more common in NC, they don’t supply the material, but Lowe’s or HD might, or the grant may cover material costs. Don’t forget to check out the many disabled vet groups out there that many of the actors are involved. Perhaps beside the County VA office, you might want to try the VFW and American Legion to see if they know anyone who can help out. His doctor may be able to write up a prescription for a need and Medicare may pay for it. Good luck!
