We have lots of tools and equipment by Kobalt. Milwaulkee and Porter Cable, and you can't go wrong with DeWalt. We have all these brands, but mostly Kobalt.
De Walt
Depends on what kind of projects you are interested in doing. My husband likes Porter Cable for electric tools, Stanley for hand tools, and Garrett-Wade for fine woodworking tools. My husband is a sculptor and at times a fine woodworker but he also does most of our repairs. He spends a lot of time caring for his tools and buys some at estate sales and yard sales.
Most of my tools are hand me down items from my dad and my ex hubby who was an engineer. If I buy a tool, first place I look is Snap On. Expensive, yes, worth it, absolutely.
