Need advice regarding installation of a lawn sprinkler system.
We are thinking of putting in a lawn sprinkle system. We are tired of draging around garden hose and sprinklers.
Any advice, what to make the project easier. And we may connect to a shallow well or city water.

It is a lot of hard work and trench digging, but in the end, it will be so worth it! When I purchased my current home, there was an existing system in the front yard. I tied it in to the back (with a lot of fiddling and running the lines) and is now all automated. Took several weekends of work. Mine has a remote that I can water in between regularly programmed settings. Here are some sites to help you design yours.

Two notes : Ditch diggers can be rented for a day fairly cheap , but watch for buried wires . Dig-Safe is free ! 2. In colder climates make sure it's well flushed out (by a professional) before winter , to avoid freezing .
