How do I create personalized tiles?
I purchased a set of "antique" vegetable seed packages and would like to somehow transfer the images onto white tiles to use as a kitchen back-splash. Each titles would be different - I have about 25 images (peas, radishes, carrots etc). Thanks for any help!

Decopodge them on
You could use a matte gel to adhere the seed packets onto the tiles. Click on the image below to watch a video.

I haven't done this personally, but I believe you scan them into a computer, then reverse the images. Print the reversed images on a laser printer, then glue them to the tiles with the printed side against the tile. After the glue dries, you take a damp sponge and gently soften up and wipe off the paper, leaving the image behind. Then you could coat it with a sealer. You may want to practice on scraps. The nice thing about using copies is you still have your originals if you need to try again.
Thank you - this sounds like a good option as well.
I'm so glad Sherle. Take some photos, we'd love to see the finished project. Good luck and have fun.
An easier way to do this would be to take a piece of plain glass whatever size you need and glue (face down) the seed packet picture on the back of the glass. You could paint the plain glass areas around the packets. In fact you could use photo copies of the packets rather than the actual pieces. Glass would be a great surface as it is so easy to clean. I have done a similar thing (except mine is decoupage) in a corner in my kitchen.
Thanks - love the pic
