Finishing Woodworking Projects

I have just gotten into woodworking projects and need to know the best way to finish my projects to get the best results (poly-coat, lacquer, etc.). Any types and techniques will help greatly!

    These are nice! My favorite sealer is a water based polycrylic from MinWax in a blue can.

    Poly is notorious for yellowing over time. The finish would depend upon what the piece will be used for. I like to use this...

      I’m using it for tables, bars, stands and things that people will be touching so I need a good, smooth coating. I do some wall art also, do you have a suggestion for that?

    Beautiful work. Twenty plus years a woodworker. I have always used Minwax polycrylic. Water based, dries fast. Doesn't yellow. At least three coats. I use a quality foam brush. Not from the dollar store. They shred. No streaks, brush marks.

      Thank you William! I put one coat of epoxy liquid glass on the bar top but still need to apply one more coat. For the rest of the bar I’ll try your method!!
