Why do bathtub refinishers not refinish a sink?
I have a beautiful undermount sink that now has hairline cracks in it. I’ve called a few refinishers and told they don’t do under-mount sinks. The process has to basically be the same. I am trying not to have to replace it as it was not inexpensive.

Going out on a limb here, but most people who do any kind of in-home repair work tend to stick with the bigger jobs; bigger job, more money. It’s like trying to get a contractor in to install one window. There has always been a lack of contractors to do this type of work.
You would be better off buying the new sink, the tub-sink re-dos are just a stop-gap, not long lasting, I would rather pay a bit more and have new installed.
I would agree with Happy Days Hometalker. Tub re-dos are for people selling a house that don't have to live with them. They peel and are terrible. Just buy the new sink. Undermounts are not THAT expensive.
Because the spray goes everywear Home Depot or on line sells a kit to redue the sink color.
Profit is a factor with contractors. But the materials that sinks are made from are different than bathtubs with different manufacturers. The process won't work or last with sinks
Arla Albers, you're correct. The re-done tubs are a nightmare for the new owner.
