  • Most fabric shops will have in stock. If not they can order for you. There are many on line retailers, but I am picky and need to see and feel things before I purchase them.

What style of blinds are you hoping to sew? Roman, roller, etc?

Are you wanting to put the blackout fabric on the back of the decor fabric, or are you wanting to have it as the only fabric?

Have you ever sewn window coverings before?

Blackout fabric sold by the yard is usually white on one or both sides, with a layer of solid black insulating fabric in between. You must be careful sewing it, as once the sewing machine needle perforates through the fabric, the light will shine through the holes. If you are sewing, ripping out, and resewing seams just to get them either straight, or to fit the dimension of your window casings, you may be left with blinds that look more like starlight at night.

Home Depot. Or Look on Google Express, they ship to the door when you spend $30 which, when you get the supplies with some Dry Goods Groceries, who doesn't spend $30? Those Mini Aliens in Twilight Zone?

    Good luck in your search.

Good Laugh indeed. I thought: Hmmm. So in my question...who doesn't spend $30...Naomie is apparently a Mini Alien from Twilight Zone...LOL Thanks for the Good Laugh.

But on a serious note, I never had a Problem with any Google Express merchant, excepting Walmart whom broke 2 of 3, Vintage Coca Cola Glass Container Sets.

Should I have known better? Yes, I am 48 not 3 but they replaced the 2 sets anyway plus, rebated $10 for my trouble with the hazardly mess of glass.

I find that very likely for a Newbie to the Home Shopping Experience, as You would be a Newbie, the Google Express combination of Merchants, like Walmart, Giant Foods, Target, Boston Market and Others can serve most of your Powdered, Concentrate, Nonperishable and Canned Goods Needs plus: Save your legs, fuels and back.

'Why should I break my back with 2 cases of coke walking .8 miles because somebody surely takes my Parking Space if I take the car, plus stand in line too, to save 14 cents?' Was my first opinion that got me thinking: how to break their backs, Hmmm? LOL. These save me alot of trouble for: What amounts to be practically the same price, give or take 3%.

Yeah, you gotta watch the prices on products, and be selective, and sometimes not even bother if you are making a trip anyway, but we gotta do all that Live-in-Person anyway due to either Greed or the Mall Rent Overheads at Retail.

So, by yourself comparing the items you do need to get Live [coupon items] to the items these cannot break even if they tried, you can acquire Long Term Savings if you watch, Especially with many merchants shipping for free, directly from their Distribution Center to You.

      Pros In Summary:

      1. It is quite hard to break shoelaces, pillows, linens, fabric, thread, yarn & socks, [among many Unbreakables] that you can add to an order to get any order above the $30 limit for free shipping.

      2. although one might think it is $0 savings, you got: Brakes, Tires, Suspension, and Tranny too to concern about in: Too Heavy Trunkloads that more belong in a USPS Truck.

      3. You do not need to break your back or anything else.

      4. For persons [as I] who have Physical Nuisances or Ailments that flare up, it is low cost alternative in contrast to aggravating preexistent flare ups that may cause permanent damage.

      Cons in Summary

      1. It is easy, maybe too easy for personson a fixed income, who may go over budget, or find it like swapping out a Budget Envelope#1 for #2.

      2. You really do need to watch the prices

      3. Redeeming Coupons is a Way too Big Hassle.

      4. Persons do get addicted to online shopping, andmoreso the auctions due gratis to a 'Sense of Achievement on Win'

      In Brief:

As Long as you personally maintain that the pros outweigh the Cons, Online Shopping, as anything else with Cons and Pros is greatly beneficial to Society, Economy, You and Health.

I used car shades from the $1.00 store, made a curtain from 3 shades used duck tape and a rod, and voila. The heat diminished by about 30% or more, BIG difference.
