How to make a portable airconditioner?

I have a motor and squirrel cage from a central air conditioner and want to make a portable air conditioner. All the ideas on Pintrest are for regular fans and smaller. Anyone have any ideas. Want to set it on a stand with a cooler to hold the ice. don't want ice or water to come through the motor/squirrel cage

Put the blower unit upstream of the ice and blow hot air over the ice. Any entrained moisture will be blown out into the room and the motor will be protected.
Here is an idea they developed for folks living in 3rd world countries without electricity. I made one of these for my trucker husband to use on the road.
