Is there a simple non-toxic weed killing spray formula available?

Weeds continue to grow in cracks in sidewalks, borders of asphalt driveway where it meets the house foundation, etc. I don’t want to harm the environment or the local pets.

    Hi The32947051,

The best way for this application is to use straight white vinegar. It takes a few days for it to work, but it does work. For the ones in the cracks, you can also add some salt, but salt kills the dirt below so be it isn't the best for the borders of the driveway because it's too hard to control where it will go. Wishing you the best!

1 gallon white distilled vinegar, 2 cups Epsom salt, 1/4 cup dish soap, like Dawn. Mix well, until salt dissolves and use in spray bottle or pump sprayer. Works great!

Exact mix I use is : 1Gal cleaning vinegar . 1 Cup fine salt . 1 TBSP Dawn dish detergent as tackifier (avoids runoff) . Make sure you spray only foliage you want to kill! Don't apply to the point of excessive runoff . Won't harm other plants unless it comes in contact w/ foliage or excessive amounts are sprayed and you get runoff .
