If a Mr. Clean Erases will not remove it, get a small can of Kilz paint with primer in a color to match your wall and lightly go over the marks. Do this several times feathering the fresh paint out over the old paint so it covers the marks but does not look like it has been painted.
A magic eraser MAY do the trick... those things are like magic, they'll surprise you!
Try Avon SSS Original bath oil . You would be surprised at what it all works for. My customers tell me new things they have used it for all the time I have a use sheet it takes tar off a car so give it a try. If you don’t have any you can order some from online store if you would like . www.youravon.com/christinakramer

Try using " Mr. Clean" erasers and see what happens.
Mr Clean will leave marks. I was going to suggest what Carol suggested or rubbing alcohol.
