How do you remove dried spots of hairspray off of a painted wall?

My daughter sprays hairspray on her hair in front of a painted wall. There is dots of hairspray on the wall, I can't get off with just washing the wall? I don't really want to repaint.

If you have washable paint on the wall, it should just wash right off with a bit of warm water and a drop or two of dawn dish soap. Use a jumbo car was sponge and blot, do not scrub. Test a small spot and see. Next time you repaint, on that wall, use at least a semi gloss, they are much easier to wash. Now don't freak out, but I wash my walls once a month. I have a lot of pets. -

I have used a watered down version of shampoo. When you take a shower shampoo washes the hair spray out of your hair so tried it one day on my wall (was varnished, however) and worked for me. Need to do it more often.
