Check your local building code requirements....they vary from area to area. Since it's new construction the work will need to be inspected so you'll want to be sure you'll comply with current regulations.
Codes are not consistent across the country...most are state codes, some are county and city. I suggest you check if you need permits to do your own wireing, and get inspections done.
