Hi Here are some ideas for adding fragrance to the laundry room area :)
If so maybe just a simple automatic air freshener like air wick or glade has that runs on batteries and dispenses fragrance at specified intervals would help. The fragrance pack refills can be purchased at walmart and dollar general for $5/2 pack. Batteries last approximately 1.5-2 months (2 AA) depending on your frequency setting.
Kirkland also carries sachet packets that work well for areas and your laundry room would be small and if the door is closed would hold the fragrance well.
An essential oil diffuser would work also but would be the more expensive option but probably healthiest - would also require frequent filling.
Dryer sheets misted with room fragrance sprays might be an option too and lay them in a bowl on a shelf.
I am not a fan of the plugin fragrance options due to reports of fires originating from them.
I bought one of those Air Wick fresheners that are battery-powered you can put on your wall and have it spray as often as you want and I bought the cotton fresh sent it smells really good in there, try that.
I keep a tub of DampRid in the laundry room at all times because it can get musty. We don't keep our hampers of dirty laundry in the laundry room so there is no smell there, but if you have a problem with smells then get one of the metered automatic spraying air fresheners. I have 2 Country Vet wall dispensers, one at each end of our house. They spray once every 15 minutes so one scent refill lasts a full month. Our house always smells fresh and pretty!

If the room has a foul smell, find the source of the smell and eliminate it.
If you want to simply freshen up the smell in this room, keep your washer door open to air it out and use plugin wall air fresheners such as these.
