How do you paint a door upright?
I cannot handle taking down my outside door that has stained glass in it but would like to repaint while still installed in molding. The paint is worn off around the door handle and around edge in areas. It needs a fresh coat of paint.

You can paint the door upright if you put down a drop cloth and painting tape where you do not want strayed paint.
Tape off the door handle and the hinges. Put a drop cloth or cardboard under the door so if you do have paint dribble it won't be on the floor. Use a cut in brush for your edges of the door, and a foam roller for the rest of it to give it a smooth covering without leaving brush marks.
Just make sure you tape really well. Use a drop cloth or an old sheet to protect the floor. A roller might be a good option for the majority of the project.
