I have used liquid starch. Wash fabric 1st to remove sizing. Soak fabric in liquid starch. Wring our most of the starch but it still needs to be wet. Protect your floors with a plastic tarp. It will wash off but can make your carpets stiff. Apply fabric to wall & wipe down with sponge. If areas of fabric need more starch you can add it. I have attached lace to windows the same way & used spray starch.

I have fabric on a wall and this is also an easy hack for those that live in apartments/rentals and are not allowed to paint or use regular wallpaper....liquid starch..the fabric has to be very wet, dripping with starch so make sure you lay down protective plastic on the floors...you also need something to smooth it out though I preferred to use my hands....and if using 100% cotton give the fabric an extra 1/4 to 1/2 inch length and width...you can trim this off after....

take saturated fabric and put on the wall much like wallpaper starting at one end start smoothing out wrinkles and bubbles... once dry trim of surplus fabric....when you wish to change the fabric you can just pull the fabric off... zero wall damage and you can wash the fabric for some other use,,wash down the wall with warm soapy water and either do again with another look or not.

Hi there, the one way I found easy to use it is to start putting it down and then I use a yardstick, fat edge against the roll, and press down on the fabric wallpaper with the skinny edge and kind of scrape it down on my project. Go slow and start from the bottom if you are doing a wall, otherwise, it will unroll and be a mess. Don't ask :( It's nice to have someone help hold the roll while you are sticking it to the wall with the yardstick. Any air bubbles can be removed by putting a pinhole in the center of the bubble and rubbing the air towards the hole. It's small and really won't show. And, it's a bear to get off and if it's on wallboard, it will pull the paper off, so be sure you really like it! :)
