How do I remove sticky residue left by paper towel holder?
I have stuck a wooden paper towel holder on my wooden wall and the towel holder came off and left a sticky residue. I need to remove the residue. Does anyone have any ideas on how to achieve this without damaging the wood? thanks Michelle

goo b gone
There is an adhesive remover available called “Goo Be Gone” at the big box fix it stores. Works like a miracle. Also takes off magic marker.
Plain old olive oil, vegetable oil, or mineral oil applied to the sticky spots will remove it with just a little rubbing with a paper towel or old rag. It won't damage the wood.
