    Hi “ Lit” ...

I too am always looking for an for pill bottles. I have dozens! I finally started recycling them a little at a time because my drawer was plum full!

I have however seen crafts made out of pill bottles .

The one I like the best is to use string of Christmas lights with the bottles.

You simply place a couple of the lighted bulbs in the bottle and move on to the next bottle . The light will be an amber color.

I’ve not tried it myself. I’ve seen the end result and it’s very pretty!

Then theres little dolls you can make, pin cushions, hide-a-key, keep extra razor blades, Bobby pins, waterproof your matches for camping, hide emergency cash. There’s a few ideas ! I’m sure someone else will have many more! ☘️

If you have a medical ministry in your area they may be able to use the bottles. We have one in our town and they took ours.

There a multitude of ideas online but a few I've actually used are:

Use to contain loose change in the car to use at drive thru's

Store small items such as buttons, safety pins, paper clips, thumb tacks, etc.

Place an extra key to your home in one and glue small pebbles or rocks onto the lid and bury the container with just the top showing for those "locked-out" issues.

Place any left-over seeds from planting your garden (well-labeled, of course).

Pack several pair of earrings into one bottle for traveling and packing your suitcase.

Use for small amounts of shampoo, conditioner, etc. for travel.

What an awesome initiative you're considering! Recycling prescription drug bottles is such a clever way to give them a new lease on life and reduce waste. One idea could be to repurpose them as storage containers for small items like screws, buttons, or even as planters for tiny succulents! It's all about thinking outside the box and giving these little containers a second chance to shine. Plus, it's a small step towards a greener planet, which is always a win-win!

On a more serious note, I believe it's crucial to responsibly dispose of prescription drug bottles to prevent any potential harm, especially if they contained medication. And hey, while we're on the topic of health, don't forget to check in with your loved ones and offer support if they need it. Sometimes a simple chat can make a world of difference. Remember, there's always someone ready to listen, whether it's a friend, family member, or even a crisis hotline.
