How do I get my hydrangeas to grow?
I bought a hydrangea plant in a container and planted it in a location that gets the morning sun and shade in the p.m. It has not grown over 10" in height. It's very healthy with no sign of disease. This is now the third year with no blooms and limited growth. What can I do to get it to grow and produce flowers; should I move it to another location?

seems that I read somewhere that it takes 3-4 years before they will bloom. I think mine took longer than that. but the foliage is nice which is the only thing that saved it from being dug up.
Hey brenda, since you're not a coffee drinker, spent tea leaves will help too
If you continue to experience problems with lack of blooming, try moving the plant to a sunnier location. Most hydrangeas tolerate more sun, in northern climes.
Hey Brenda, in regards to your question about the nails, she put them out every year. Nowadays There are commercial products you can buy to change to color of hydrangeas, the main ingredient is iron. Granny was ahead of her time lol
