It is called bind weed. Do not try to pull it up as it snaps below ground and will then make many more stems. Cut it off right under the 1st leaves, and make sure NO part of cuttings touch the ground. Do not put into compost, only the trash can. If you dig up the ground and any part of root is there get it out. Takes a long time to get rid of it totally
I use boiling water to kill my weeds. Of course, another bunch always pops up somewhere.. it's a never ending chore, keeping your yard weed free. Unless you use chemicals - which I DO NOT recommend. Good luck.
