I would try a glass cutter with tape around the area you are going to cut to help keep it from chipping.
There are bits you can buy that are shaped like an arrowhead. This will make a hole for the drill bit in the center of a hole saw. Once you have a hole you can switch to the hole saw. Make sure you keep the hole saw and the porcelain cool and lubricated with cold water, don’t put too much pressure on the drill, and go slowly.
Hi Ghi
Here's a tutorial showing exactly how to do it with 2 different options to use depending on hardware of item you want in that hole. I hope this helps you get the exact look that you want in your sink. - Linda

Hi. Ceramic sinks are free floating in the space gripping to the edges only slightly. Take the sink out to work on. There are bits specifically designed for glass and ceramic. Place the sink upside down on a piece of plywood. Apply oil liberally as you drill and start slowly. Once through, switch to a ceramic/glass hole cutter. Again use oil. Clean edges of cut and re-place sink.
Risky but can be done. The diamond hole saw will work. Create a water dam around where you want the hole with clay, putty or wet toilet paper. A few drops of water in the dam and start drilling. The water keeps the bit cool. Let the bit do the work. Do not apply too much pressure. It will be slow going. Every so often stop and remove the bit to get the grit out.

Drill a hole into a porcelain sink by covering the area with masking tape, mark the hole centre, attach a diamond drill bit to your drill, set the speed quite low and turn off the hammer action, apply light pressure to the sink, add water to the area using a sponge, use a jig or guide for accuracy.
