Hello, there is a method that I have seen all over the internet but I am going to give you a link to a step by step.

When the stove top is cool, spray it with distilled white vinegar all over. Then sprinkle baking soda over the wet stove top. Soak a towel in hot water, then wring it out and lay it over the stove top . Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then remove. Using a microfiber cloth gently scrub the cook top and remove all the baking soda. Then spray the cooktop with the distilled vinegar again and with a dry microfiber cloth polish the surface until it is clean and shiny. If there is still any burnt on spots, spray the spot with the vinegar again and using a razor blade at an angle scrape gently until the burnt spot is gone and polish the surface with the dry microfiber cloth until it is spotless and streak free. Good luck.
I have made a paste of water and Bar keepers friend. I let it sit for about 20 min. Then use wet cloth to clean it up.
there is a product called hob brite that will remove all of that i promise you !
I use a mixture of 1 cup baking soda to 1/3 cup Dawn dish soap. Mix it all together. Works well at getting a lot of things clean.
I also use Hob Brite - deffinatley works
You can use a razor blade(the kind in a handle used for removing paint on windows) to get burned on crud off. Use bar keepers friend and a slightly damp paper towel. It may take several attempts depending on how much crud is built up.
Rub cuttle fish ( found on beach ) and a little water.
Bar Keepers friend.
I have had my electric range 6 years. I clean it every evening with Bar Keepers friend. I also use a soft scrubby made for glass tops. I ran out one day and hubby gave me some Simple Green for grease. That worked well.
We paid thousands for my range and with this discipline I have to say , it looks show room. I wipe down the spills immediately, I wipe down the oven with Bar Keepers Friend, use the oven steamer and in-depth when needed.
It doesn't take but 10 Minutes, max, per day, to keep it looking new
As a follow-up to my earlier comment, the razor blade in the handle cane with my stove for that purpose
I substitute the vinegar with hydrogen peroxide. I find it works best on a warm oven. Right after I've baked something, while the oven is still hot, I spritz on the hydrogen peroxide, sprinkle on a layer of baking soda then follow with another light spray of hydrogen peroxide. I let mine sit overnight then simply wipe clean in the morning.
I also use a single edge razor blade. Make sure the top is wet to prevent scratches. Follow up with a ceramic top cleaner like Weimans
Does it need cleaning, or is it discolored? Some glass tops (mine included) have discolored areas that will not clean up. I've found no way of fixing that, but if you discover a way, please post!
Having been in the cleaning business for 42 years, Use the polish made for cleaning glass stove top only and the razor blade for burned ons. This also polishes the glass to prevent scratches from your pans. any thing else you use will scratch the surface.
I use the polish made special for glass stove tops. I bought the polish, cleaner, and blade as a kit. The brand is Weiman. It keeps my stovetop looking new.🤗
Baking soda and apple cider vinegar
The special product made for glass top, dries like clay and rubs away easily. I also use a razor blade at anangle for tougher spots. For daily cleaning, I use Bleach CleanUp with Baking soda...
For inside the oven or electric stove burners, I use an SOS pad...
I use toothpast to clean and then, polish with soft cloth.
My glass top says to use CeramaBrite. At Home Depot.
Hallelujah!!
You're not the only one, glad you asked. I'm hoping some of these tricks will help me too, I'm in the same boat. Especially RIGHT around the edges of my gas burners,,,so dang frustrating . Going to take a look on Amazon for "Hob Brite"
I spread a hot dish towel over the stove, then after about 5 minutes sprinkle baking soda on it. I let that sit for a bit and then add vinegar. It bubbles and I leave it alone for about 20 minutes. After that I wipe everything off with a warm sponge and dawn dish soap and everything comes off.
Ive had this problem for years, in fact I asked about it on here years ago. Over the years I have tried all the suggestions on here plus other things I have tried. When you run your hand over the glass top it’s smooth with no burned on spots. To me it looks like the discoloration is under the glass. I just live with it but always wipe the glass top after cooking.
