If it is etched, it may be permanent. Try washing in hot hot hot water with dawn dish soap and vinegar. Rinse and hand dry immediately. Then see how it looks.
I’ve found cleaning vinegar and hot water to be a very successful combination to deal with hard water etching. Just be sure to dry the piece completely.

If you are talking about removing etching that you added using ething paste then I dont believe you can remove it. I do glass etching and if I make a mess I have been throwing them away.
