How do I arrange furniture around a corner fireplace?
I have a fireplace in the corner of my living room. Do I arrange furniture in a square, ignoring the angle of the fireplace or do I arrange furniture at an angle that aligns with the fireplace?

Work on the angle, center sofa with fireplace.
It depends on how you use the room, Connie. Is the room for watching tv? A TV would likely dictate how your room is oriented. If no TV, centering furniture on the fireplace can make it a lovely focal point. :)
It all depends on if you want to stare at the fireplace or not. We had a corner gas y room
Hi, Kelli: Lots of us now have our TV's in the den/family room or even bedroom so I would go for orienting the furniture to the fireplace.
You will get a lot more seating if you put your sofas and/or chairs square with a coffee table in the middle. Space it back far enough so that you can still enjoy your fireplace. Best thing to do is keep moving the furniture around until you get the desired look.
