How do I easily update my old laminate counter and add back splash?
I have a sad laminate countertop that has burn holes on it. I want to update this to a lighter color, but it needs to be very easy as I am not good with my hands. I also want a nice backsplash. The wall is just painted now. Help!

I want to repaint the kitchen and maybe install a frugal backsplash. My walls are that textured drywall and I'm not sure a peel & stick tile will work.
You can paint laminate, but if it has holes, it may be best just to replace the laminate, or use a countertop covering (like wall paper for counter tops). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61isffqtQ9U
I used wallpaper for backsplash and contact paper for countertop. SO easy and everyone things its real.

You can paint the countertop with a simple kit, you can see how I did it here: https://thehoneycombhome.com/diy-granite-countertops-yes-really/. As for the backsplash you can use removable stickers that look like tile! I used them on my bathroom floor, you can see that here: https://thehoneycombhome.com/floor-stickers-in-the-bathroom/
I used a product called Feather Finish. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/kitchen-dining/kitchen-dining-furniture/changing-up-an-orange-formica-countertop-with-concrete-18147786
