Hang a framed picture over it.
Hi Chandra! I also had an ugly control panel in my condo! I hung a large frame on hinges over it! Check out the tutorial - https://www.charlestoncrafted.com/2013/06/12/now-you-see-it-now-you-dont/
Hello, you could stencil a pretty design on it so that you see it instead of focusing on the fuse box.
Hang a small print over it.
It is likely metal, so buy a few small magnets and place pretty fabric or gift wrap cut to fit it onto it. Then use other magnets to place notes, recipes, etc. on it as a message center. Make it into a useful area.
I'd install a large wall message center the same color as your wall. That way when it's not being used it's blending in with the wall. Also, If you paint the vent the same color as the walls that will blend in too.
Don't cover the vent. Paint it the same color as the wall. Make or get an oversize frame and paint cardboard, foam board, wood panel with chalkboard paint. Use it as a message center over the circuit box.
You can certainly hang a picture over it or stencil it. Just make sure that the electrical panel is not covered in a way that makes it inaccessible. That may cause code compliance issues. when in doubt it is best to check with local building officials.
