They sell carpet tape, you place under each side of the seam and after you push down to stick the carpet, just play with the edges, it's works better the closer the edges meet! I know, I just went through the same issue! Hope this was helpful! Actually I believe I saw the tape at ocean state, it was about 2.99 my daughter ordered it over internet and played 10.00!
If it isn't frayed or anything, you should be able to use double sided tape underneath it that is wide enough to put on both sides of the seam. If it is in a doorway, you could use something to cover the seam.
Hi Melissa. I'm Cindy. You can repair your carpet by using carpet tape. It goes on the under side of the carpet. Some of them require heat to activate the adhesive. You can use your iron for the heat. Try to stay off of it for 24 hours. As the adhesive cools it pulls the carpet together. You can get the tape at your local home improvement store. Follow the directions on the box. Best of luck to you.
