How to remove rust from a metal baseboard?
I have metal baseboard! I get rust that comes through the paint in the bathroom! I tried sandpapering first then rustoleum paint! That did not prevent rust from coming through?
It’s embarrassing to me, seeing it in my own restroom, let alone friends seeing it!! Do you have any suggestions? I would be very greatful to hear any of your suggestions.. if you have any? Thank you!

Rust will continue to grow unless you take out your baseboards a treat wth rust reformer from the back. Put in a tile baseboard , no maintenance .
Use a rust converter/reformer. It binds with the rust creating a polymer coating that encapsulates and prevents rust. It is flat black so painting would be needed.
