If you have a hardwood floor that has some dark stains is there a cheaper way to fix it, or am I stuck with a dark stain to cover floor or paint it. Any other solutions?

Hi Larenda. I'm Cindy. You could try making a paste of Olive Oil and salt. Put it on the stain. Let it set for at least an hour. Then wipe it up. The salt will pull out the stain and the oil will replenish the wood. I hope this helps you Larenda. If it doesn't come out on first attempt, repeat it.

I would try sanding out the stain if it's close to the surface or just in the top coat. Then you could reseal with the light color you prefer.
