How to make a mini mannequine tree?
Should my first diy project be something easier than the mini mannequin Christmas tree? I've never even used a glue gun.

Self doubt=no.....
Just go for it😊
Welcome to dyi! Imagine your future enjoying your finished projects! First and most important, hot glue guns are HOT! Then just go for it! Mini trees can be decorated to coincide with your room decor or color themed. Have fun and remember there are no mistakes, just things that can be redone!
Start with glue gun, glue sticks. Then, there are aisles n aisles to choose decorations. I did one in pink (I'm a survivor) and put on pink ribbons, necklaces, bracelets, anything I had on hand, it's one of my favorites and I place it in my bedroom every winter! Another useful item is fishing line! A spool, found in the sport dept, will tie securely any ornaments. I've used it on my door wreath. Keep an open mind, spend time looking before committing but more important, there are no rules in DIY!
A good glue gun will be your best friend! I learned to keep a small glass of water nearby in case the (very) hot glue gets on my fingers. A quick dip will make it all good. Have fun!!
I've used a glue gun forever and, I never thought of adding the glass of water to my work table. Thank you, Katie! Please be careful. These guns get very hot, even the teeny ones - as I found out, the hard way. Ouch! I use disposable gloves that fit well. It won't stop the burn, if you get one but, will help keep glue off of you. There are floppy plastic mats available to rest your gun on when not in use. When you are done with your project, and glue that as accumulated on mat has dried, take the mat, roll up, back and forth. This will loosen the glue for you to easily pick or brush off. Other handy items I keep on hand: wax paper, foil, lots of wooden stick to help press item into glue. Happy gluing! You will have so much fun.
