It really depends on what kind of wine rack it is. I filled one with empty Pringles cans and use it for storage in my craft studio. If you're interested you can find my project here.

If you have a die cutter and use vinyl, use it to hold rolls of vinyl.
Wash cloths and towels in a bathroom..material in a craft room...rolled up magazines in your living room...i used one in the garage to hold cans of spray paint but it was wrought iron...i also used a wicker ones for curling irons and straightners..after they cooled of course in the bathroom i had pvc pipes cut to fit the holes then i painted them a pretty color and slipped the curling irons right into them they fit perfectly...i also used one with pvc in it on the patio to hold forks knives napkins etc..for a bbq...the possibilities are endless....
