How to stencil tiles?

Are these floor tiles?

Rust , persimmon, orange, red and blue are all great kitchen colors and go with brown and cream. If the cabinets are wood grained and not brown - really the colors are endless. Wood is a neutral. Look to your connecting rooms to match or coordinate .

Are the tiles on the backsplash or on the counter? Are they ceramic or are they vinyl? Here's an idea from another Hometalk member who stenciled the ceramic tiles on her floor. The same method would work on a backsplash. I hope this helps you. Wishing you success! -Linda

How to paint tile floors and stencil

You can paint your floor with Dixie Belle Paint. Our paint is a high quality, affordable because it goes a long way, chalk mineral paint.

Step one: Clean well with White Lightning by Dixie Belle Paint

Step two: One Coat or two of Slick Stick by Dixie Belle Paint

Step three: Paint any color you would like of Dixie Belle Paint and then stencil

Step four: If you like, you can use a coat or two of Gator Hide by DBP for a water resistant finish.
