After removing old carpet and padding from the floor of a fixer upper house we bought, we want to remove stains without sanding right now if possible .
One T white vinegar to one quart of water. Spray on and squeegee off.
You can buy Windex Outdoors and hose the outside of your house, siding and all!
I agree with the vinegar and water.
Try toothpaste?? I don't know but maybe.
Hello, I agree with the vinegar and water and you can also use rubbing alcohol and water.
You might try a paste of baking soda and a bit of water.
Also, maybe try a Magic Eraser sponge.
I also read somewhere that using Cream of Tartar works...just make a paste with it rather than baking soda.
Let us know if you have success and share with us. Thanks!
Thank you all for helping. I will try some of them. I did use black tea, steeped in 1 pint of water..And straight vinegar, then added some of the tea and most of it came off. I just kept rubbing with a soft cloth.. Glad we could get it off...
