How do I apply that “Great Stuff” foam without making a mess?
I need to apply it around an outside window frame but a can’t quite get the knack of it to keep it under control. Any tricks I need to know? Reading the directions doesn’t give enough information. Help!

Brr! Drafty windows- how to cut the draft?
I have 3 sets of windows configured like this...very drafty, How to you winterize them? There is nothing in the corner to stick tape to. Thank you
That's just about impossible.
Just make a mess & cut it off with a razor blade when its dry
Hi. When you find the secret, let me know! It's wonderful stuff, but hard to control and I don't know about anybody else, but I can't use it more than once. It dries up in the can. Good luck!
It expands, so it doesnt take much. Misting it with water from a spray bottle will cause it to fluff more, and set quicker. Moisture cures it. You can clean the squirt tube and can top with acetone to make it reuseable, or use duct tape to seal the end of the tube until you ready to use it again.
well it appears that other people have the same issues so far. I have learned how to clear the tube in order to use it again so thanks for that. Maybe I can ask Home Depot to do a Saturday morning workshop on how to use the product. Thanks all.
I would tape areas where you don't want the foam (keeping in mind that this stuff is almost uncontrolable), then use an exacto knife to cut off the overflow of product, which is a given. It would be nice if they could figure out a way to control the amount of product, but so far that either hasn't occurred to them or there is no way to control it.
