I already used natural products as vinegar, soda, etc and it doesn't help.
Hi Clare,
I can't tell what kind of cooker it is, but if chemicals broke the inside surface and now it's rusting, it's really not save to use. You could call the manufacturer to see what they say. They would be your best and truest source of information about this product. Wishing you the best.
Try wiping it down with WD40
If your cooker is stainless steel there are various videos on YouTube. They won't post here.
You could try to remove the rust with steel wool. Rub gently until you're down to clear metal. Stop if you see that it's going through to another layer. If that happens, I'd say the product is not good quality and has a thin finish layer over inferior material. But if you can get the rust off and it's still in good shape, wipe it down with a little oil to keep it from rusting again.
Another idea would be a rust neutralizer that you wipe on.
Oh, and if it does rust again after being treated, I wouldn't blame the roach spray. I'd say you had an inferior material to start with. But if the cooker works well, don't worry too much about how it looks. Just keep it put away when not in use.
As far as stainless steel, it doesn't rust under normal conditions. "STAINLESS"
Thanks alot i will try the steel wool.
Use the powdered cleanser Bar Keepers Friend with the steel wool. The two together should take the rust off.
