How to repair an outside door's jamb that is rotting from the bottom?
The door jamb is just starting to rot on the bottom of our door going into the garage. I want to fix it and to prevent future rot.

Hi William! First, I would try to figure out what is getting it so wet that it's rotting. Can you divert drainage from a downspout? Is it against the ground? A little trouble shooting will really save your door jamb in the future. I would cut out all the rotten wood and replace it with pressure treated wood.
I agree with Cynthia! Cut out the damaged part and replace with pressure treated wood. Prime and paint.
