Hi Janet;
Here is some info I came up with. Your growing zone is: 8b you can find plants at your local nursery for your zone and also you could contact your county extension service they will give you a list of plants and shrubs for your area.
What Growing Zone Is Moses Lake, washington - Plant Guide Online
Find indoor and outdoor plants that are well suited to the Moses Lake, washington area.
You should contact your local nursery.
Buy plants that are suited for your zone 8-b and are native to your area. A good nurseryman can guide you on what plants are native and what type of soil you need and how to plant. Living in your area you really have a lot to choose from. Good luck.
Just a little add on to Cheryl's info. I live in Florida and our county extension office also has a plant growing and sales area where you can purchase trees, shrubs, vegetables ( when season is right ), flowers etc. See if your extension office has one. They have info sheets and books usually too.
