How to remove glue from concrete?
We have carpet on our front porch and steps. We would like to remove the carpet and paint the area, but it will have clumps of glue all over.
How do we get a smooth enough finish to paint?
thank you

Paint stripper, gloves, scraper & steel bristle brushes. This is going to be a dirty job.
You might try to chisel a bit of it to see if it will lift.
Heh, Lyn, it seems to be a bit of a bother but, like most things, it can be done. If you are up to it, you might find this article helpful. There are videos on line too. Check them out.

Will also try an electric hand sander.
Great site from Sally. I scrape off what I can. Basically the larger glue globs. Then I use the hot water to soften the rest and scrape that off. Paint stripper can affect the concrete and leave a film that will not come out. Sanding will just clog up sandpaper from the friction and heat.
