It looks like the glue is coming off. I attached a picture.
Some glue like E6000 should solve the problem. The landlord/manager should be notified and they should fix it.
I agree with Hege. Your landlord should be notified so (s)he can have it repaired.
If it sounds simple enough for your , gorilla wood glue works great for that kind of damage. Good luck!
Landlord problem. E6000 glue would work. If the veneer is wood then wood glue.
