Do your top cabinets reach the ceiling? If not you could fill the gap with extra cabinets giving you some more storage space. You can buy separate unfinished doors and boxes in Home Depot, then paint them to match your other cabinets, or a contrast even. My cabinets are pale gray, for instance, and I would paint some top cabinets a darker gray and think they would look unique. I wouldn't want to lose that window myself, but might also consider putting up some open wall shelves. Also, many different kinds available at Home Depot. I think they also have floating shelves so that you would be unable to see hinges. Best check them out
You could add portable pantry racks.
Sherry, just wondering if you have room for a rolling island? You would be able to incorporate a lot of storage underneath that. There are many DIY projects on here and on line. I will find them for you if you like. I certainly wouldn't block that lovely window, if I were you.
Hi Sherry - We have a large kitchen but an awkward layout that does not allow for a lot of storage. Here are some great ideas you can use too. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Perhaps install benches under your large windows that have a tops that flip up to reveal storage space underneath.
