Drape everything. I use plastic tablecloths.

I like to use drop cloths. Plastic will blow around and make a mess. Plus when you step on them, you track paint around.
If I have a bunch a small object that will fit into a box. I place them in the box and then spray paint inside the box. Overspray it’s greatly Minimized.
