How do I remove hard water deposit in my washing machine?
The hard water has clogged a couple of the small holes that the water comes from the hose and into the tub. Some of the other holes spray the water in the wrong direction and the water hits the ridge on top of the tub and comes out the bottom of the appliance and onto the floor. I have used a stiff brush and was able to remove some of the buildup but not enough to fix the problem.

Have you tried running a de-scaling solution in your machine. In Canada we have a product called CLR, not sure if it's available where you live, that should work. Just follow the directions. Or try using a any bathroom de-lime/scale product through a warm or hot wash cycle, about a cup for a full tub, with a cold rinse.
A descaling product can be used. Found at any hardware store. After that, be sure to run a vinegar cycle every so often to keep the lines clean

Hi Sandy,
I'm Linda and I use vinegar any time I have mineral deposits to remove. Fill your washer and add vinegar to the water. How much vinegar depends on the size of your washer tub. I'd suggest at least 1 or 2 cups to start. Mix the vinegar in the water. If you can turn on the machine for a few minutes, that will mix it well. Let it sit for about 1 hour then drain. You'll also want to rinse the tub. You can do that by running an empty washer or washing all of your cleaning rags as a "load". If the holes are still plugged, do it again, but use more vinegar. You can also try making a baking soda & water "paste" and rubbing it into the holes. Spray on the vinegar water and let it sit while it does the work. Again, rinse or do a similar load to clean it out. I hope this helps you. Wishing you the best!
White vinegar, CLR is toxic. Also, after you clean your machine, from now on put vinegar in rinse cycle when you do laundry. It softens the water and your clothes and will clean your machine each time... No more build up of hard water deposits. No, your clothes won't smell like vinegar..
I am a little confused....she mentioned the water in the hose coming into her washer. I would think the CLR, Vinegar and such would be good for the hose taking water OUT of her machine. I am going to suggest that she clean out the little screen at the end of her hose where it screws on to the washer....mine gets clogged up there also. Otherwise, hoses are not that expensive and might just need to get a new one.
