Just inherited blonde oak dining room set. What colour should I paint my kitchen cabinets? Currently they are grey and looks bad. White is not us at all.

Go to your local paint shop and pick out color samples that you like. Bring them home and then start eliminating all the ones you don't like. When you have narrowed it down to a few that you do like get sample jars of the paint to try at home. Live with the colors for a few days and then pick the one! Have fun
Teresa,
Would you consider painting/glazing the dining room set? This is a much easier job than painting the cabinets? But if you want do something with the cabinets I would consider a glaze that adds more yellow to the cabinets to warm them up and they would better match the dining set. Here is a =glazing%7Ctyped&term_meta[]=cabinets%7Ctyped]Pinterest search on glazing.
Kitchen cabinet finishes must endure serious scrubbing & daily wear & tear. I agree, look at redoing the finish on the DR set.
I am attaching a few colors that I think might look nice. Painting kitchen cabinets is not that difficult...Here is a step by step tutorial:
Step one : Clean with White Lightning
Step two : Paint one to two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral paint
Step Three : Use Gator Hide for a water resistant finish.
I am attaching some kitchens that have been painted with Dixie Belle Paint so you can see the outcome.
Also, we did have a series of LIVE videos on a step by step tutorial of how to paint your kitchen cabinets. If you would like to watch them....

Why paint your cabinets (which I think are gorgeous)! Why not paint the hutch a slightly darker chalk paint grey? I've seen several projects on Hometalk where they transformed older pieces and turned them into beautiful pieces. Good Luck!
Try black, charcoal or graphite.
I agree with the others. The blonde furniture is dated. Please consider painting it.
Take into account the colour of your floor wallls countertop and curtains. Your new furniture is quality and stood the test of time. Don’t deface it by painting which in its self will date in only a year or two not to mention how fiddly and painstaking it will be to paint all those chairs. The paint will chip and look really tacky. If it suits your other colours I would suggest a pale green on your kitchen cupboards
How about painting with wood grain gel paint? I'd do both the cabinets and dining set btw.
