How to cure a wet out door area?
I have an area that never gets sun. Once it gets wet, it has it has an odor. This is in an area in front next to the garage and the front porch! Now that the weather is getting nice, I want the front windows open, but, I don’t want the stinky odor. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do to get rid of this problem? I would appreciate it! Thank you!

Hi Lin - You have not said if this was an area that was concrete, pavers or just the ground. I am assuming that it is the ground. Try applying lime - that you put on a lawn when the soil is too acid. Too acid a soil can lend itself to mildew and such - and have an odor.
I(f it is soil you can raise the grade with soil so the water will flow away from it.
Homemade recipe : Mix equal parts of cheap lemon dish soap with vinegar. Pour it into a spray bottle and spray the smelly area. Now sprinkle baking soda over the entire area. Let it sit for 1-2 hours then rinse w/clear water. Hope this works for you!
