How to paint over wood paneling?
One of the bedrooms was the previous owners home office and it was paneled. I want to make it look like a bedroom again. I can't remove the paneling without ruining the walls. What suggestions do you have to cover the wood panelling?

You could paint the paneling. I would prime it first then use a regular latex paint in the color of your choice. I don't see why you couldn't also cover it with some ship lap if that is something you like.
You can paint it!

Paint first with primer then paint what color you want .
Give it a good sanding, to remove the smooth finish. The paint will stick better. If there are grooves in the panels, they can be filled with spackle to give a smoother texture. Then, paint as usual.
I covered most every room in our mobile home with textured paintable wallpaper, it covers paneling fantastic!! Hope this helps
Clean the paneling with TSP, and clean off the TSP throughly. I would use a paint/stain blocker should as Kilz brand as paneling tends to bleed through. I used 3 coats Kilz and then painted with regular paint. Turned out great!
