Some people use old dressers to do this. They put caster wheels (or not), cover with beadboard and paint.

Bead board? You can use it for the siding, but not the top. If you need me to explain why, lmk.

Work backwards on a piece of paper:

    Height?

    Toe Kick? Casters? Caster skirt?

    Doors? Hinge type? Shelf mounts?

Drawers are not cheap, nor easy for beginners. But if you want to try, go for it.

Finished size? That includes the thickness of the bead board.

Top Material? Top substrate 3/4” plywood? Overhang type is 1” all around.

Screw together the 2x4 box framing. Nails will pull out over time. I would paint them after cutting them, before screwing them together.

”Studs” should be 12-16” on center and be screwed into the sole plate & top plate.

If it is 42” high, I would make sure to plywood, not particle board, the inside to prevent “racking”.

There’s probably on-line videos and tutorials.

You could find an old dresser or desk. Add bead board to the sides and butcher block counter top. You could add wheels so it is moveable. Paint it any color you want.

That sounds feasible, considering you are just adding to the completed structure. Thank you!

You could use an old piece of furniture or build a frame with 2x4s. If you want to sit at it and eat or anything like that, a 12 inch overhang is needed. You'll have to support the countertop so the whole thing doesn't tip over. If not, a 1 inch overhang is normal.
