How to repair an old Hoosier cupboard?
I have an old "Hoosier" cupboard that is supposed to be able to pull out the work surface. Recently, it has stopped being functional. That malfunction also stops the top drawer from pulling out. I am able to get the drawer open, but no luck on the pull-out work surface. Can someone please help me figure this out? Many thanks - Mary

The top usually can be removed. Take it apart and you may be able to get the sliding table off to see the problem. Good luck.

Yes, the whole top on mine is removable. I can easily get to the pull out work surface when it's removed. The whole work surface can also be removed to get to the drawers. Clean out the tracks and it should be good to go. Love those old Hoosiers!
