How to do something to paneling?
I have paneling with grooves and need to do something but can’t afford a lot. Tried painting and it looked horrible. Is there anything cheap to put over it?

Lou, Try 12x12 peel n stick tiles. We use them, and it looks great. Aloha!
There is wall wrap available from Amazon that’s is pasted on then painted. It smooths walls or there are also textured patterns.
I have looked in to the tiles and it would’ve quit expensive but I do like them. And I have thought about the wrap it would prolly be the most affordable. Thank you for the suggestions.
Hmmm... Why did the painting over it look horrible ? I had the ugliest paneling in our 3 season room , it was white and green , ugh...
We painted it with 1 coat of light gray paint, it came out great.
If you used a low quality paint , it might not come out so well.
A tip for buying good quality paint , at budget prices..go to home depot or Lowe's , in the paint dept there is a rack of highly discounted paint .
The paint is cheap because either someone had a color mixed , then didn't like the results , or they forgot to pick it up . Just check every time you are in the store, until you find a color you like.
I agree with Pamela. I love the look of painted paneling-- gives kind of a cottagey look. Was it just not to your taste painted or were there problems with the paint job?
