Try using cola mixed with toothpaste to make a paste. Leave on for a few minutes, then wipe off. You can also try putting white vinegar in a sandwich bag and close it around the fixture. Let sit, then wipe.

I spray with vinegar and place a warm damp cloth over the faucet. Let it sit for 15 minutes and it should wipe clean.

    Hi Joyce,

There is a product called CLR, which stands for calcium, lime, rust. That should take it right off, available at supermarkets and DIY stores.

Vinegar will take it off and not damage the faucets. If it is caked on, fill a zip lock bag and close it over the area (like the head) and let it soak over night if need be. Hope this answered your question Joyce.
