Citra-Solv orange de-greaser. Baby Oil, cooking oil. soak a paper towel with it, wrap around the jars, let it sit a few minutes, goo should wipe right off.
I use a product called Goo-Gone which you can buy at the craft store or home improvement store... it works wonders!
I have used cooking oil in the past (coconut or olive oil but any oil would work) Good luck!
